We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Planning Engineer to join our team and support the successful delivery of upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting within the construction industry, with the ability to independently manage mid-to-large scale projects.
About the Role
The selected candidate will play a critical role in developing and maintaining project schedules, analyzing project performance, monitoring progress, and supporting project teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
Responsibilities:
Develop, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Coordinate with project teams to establish work breakdown structures (WBS), project timelines, and resource allocation plans.
Track project progress, analyze delays, and prepare recovery plans where required.
Prepare periodic planning reports, dashboards, KPIs, and progress presentations for management and stakeholders.
Perform schedule analysis, resource loading, Earned Value Management (EVM), and schedule risk assessments.
Review project contracts and support claims and extension of time (EOT) evaluations in line with FIDIC conditions.
Participate in project meetings and provide planning-related recommendations to support project delivery.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
5–7 years of experience in project planning and control within the construction industry.
Consultant background/experience is considered an advantage.
Required Skills:
Proven ability to independently manage mid-to-large scale construction projects with minimal supervision.
Advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 (mandatory) and MS Project.
Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts, particularly clauses related to time, delays, and claims.
Experience in WBS coding structures, Earned Value Management (EVM), resource loading, KPIs, and schedule risk analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional reports and confidently present in stakeholder meetings.
